DIVUS PERLA | en cs

If you are coming from far away, you may tell us what you are interested in beforehand by sending us an email to shop@divus.cz, or calling or texting us at 602 269 888, and we will prepare everything before you arrive or take care of you on your arrival.

Divus publishing house invites you all to a half-price sale of books, multimedia, posters, graphic art and prints, archival material and other hard-to-obtain rarities from Divus production to provide you with Christmas presents. Not that we value that little what we do, but a half of the price is exactly what the publisher gets if you buy the book in a bookshop. A selection of books will be prepared for you in the Perla Café and the total of all we have got for sale will be available in the publishers’ warehouse on the second floor above our National gallery.

If you wish, choose in advance on our web-site https://divus.cc/cs/eshop/default/newest.

In the café, there will be also plenty of dainties and excellent drinks to warm-up your body and spirit.

Wicked / Interview with Jim Hollands Wicked / Interview with Jim Hollands
“A person must shake someone’s hand three times while gazing intently into their eyes. That’s the key to memorizing their name with certainty. In his childhood, he suffered through tough social situations and…
My Career in Poetry or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Institution My Career in Poetry or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Institution
An American poet was invited to the White House in order to read his controversial plagiarized poetry. All tricked out and ready to do it his way, he comes to the “scandalous” realization that nothing bothers anyone anymore, and instead of banging your head against the wall it is better to build you own walls or at least little fences.

There is nothing that has not already been done in culture, squeezed or pulled inside out, blown to dust. Classical culture today is made by scum. Those working in the fine arts who make paintings are called artists. Otherwise in the backwaters and marshlands the rest of the artists are lost in search of new and ever surprising methods. They must be earthbound, casual, political, managerial,…
